Aviwe Ndyamara is a seasoned Business Restructuring Professional, Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) and Business Rescue Practitioner (BRP) with over 14 years of continuous, hands-on experience in business rescue, corporate restructuring, insolvency advisory, and complex turnaround mandates across South Africa. His experience spans construction, mining,property development, infrastructure, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, and social housing, with a consistent record of stabilising distressed enterprises, preserving employment, restoring governance, and delivering creditor outcomes superior to liquidation.

Government-owned and state-linked entity restructuring, including provincial government-owned companies.     Founded and led Phuthuma, a specialist management consulting and restructuring firm focused on business turnarounds, corporate restructuring, insolvency advisory, and corporate finance. The firm provides board-level advisory services to distressed and underperforming businesses across construction, property, infrastructure, agriculture, mining, logistics, manufacturing, and social housing sectors.
    Since 2016, appointed in excess of 30 formal business rescue mandates in terms of the Companies Act, across multiple sectors and ownership structures, and in excess of 10 business turnaround and Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) mandates (informal workouts), including board-appointed restructuring roles outside formal business rescue proceedings. Engagements include statutory business rescue proceedings, informal workouts, due diligence, solvency and liquidity assessments, enterprise valuations, creditor negotiations, post-commencement finance mobilisation, and execution of recovery, exit, and disposal strategies. These mandates have consistently resulted in outcomes superior to liquidation.
